Chibi Vampire, Until Death Do Us Part

Chibi Vampire is good.

No, I'm serious.  You can stop at about Chapter 26 or 27, because then everything gets irrelevant to the protagonist but it's enough to be a complete story.

It looks all dumb and cuddly but just read it!  Yeah, it's totally a shojo manga and it's about vampires, but this is actually pretty original, and of course, like any proper shojo manga, it had its share of touching moments.

Ren is the douche-looking guy, Anju is the girl with long hair, Karin is the cheerful girl in the middle, and Kenta is the guy with spiky hair and small pupils.  Boogey is the blue-haired doll with the knife.

It's about Karin, who's supposed to be a vampire, except she can walk in sunlight and doesn't drink blood, she GIVES it.  Every month her blood increases and she has to let it out, whether by a painful nosebleed or by injecting it into someone else.  The new boy Kenta moves into town, and through a series of super-awkward events, he finds out her secret.

All the vampires have a specific taste in blood.  Ren's is stress, which would be fine except he always has sex with the women he feeds on.  Anju hasn't yet awakened as a vampire in the beginning but has a special thing for trapping ghosts in creepy dolls.  Boogey, the doll she typically carries around, contains the soul of a kid serial killer who murdered 13 people before dying.

Read the manga when you want to read something unique spin to a vampire story.  This manga is mainly for feels - if you want adrenaline, read Until Death Do Us Part.  Corny title but MAN so Mamoru-san is so good at dismembering people.

Until Death Do Us Part is an AWESOME action manga, and whenever I feel a thirst for blood this is where I go.  Yes, there are a few weird parts because this manga is aimed at 17 to 40-year-old males but those are few and far between, with enough brains being blown to keep me going.

Oh, and Mamoru, the dude with the shades and the sword?  He's blind.

Didn't that just make it awesome?
